I knew it when..... H St. NE and Rosemont

What is it about H St. NE these days?

interactive art exhibits, dance classes and clubs...that's the buzz this woman's been picking up on...all the way in Adam's Morgan. In an attempt to perfect my skills, I rode the Red Dynasty (my cheap craigs list bike) down and over to this new hip area 'everyone' keeps talking about for a dance class and to see if this was as buzz worthy as I've been hearing. Plus, we have a gig there in a few weeks (The Red and The Black on June 24).

I liiiiikkeed it. I liiiiiiiike that our gig is inbetween a Popeye's and a Dollar General. However, I am concerned about anybody being able to get there. Closest metro looked like "New York Ave." and that was still a good 7 blocks away. Lots of folks out and about though. I imagine U St. looked like this about 10 years ago. So here it is, pre-gentrified. I got the feeling that it won't be too long until this neighborhood looks completley different. Good reason to come out for the show then huh? And definitely meander around for a good restaurant before hand while its light out. 13th and HSt. NE.
